Ghanaian John Yeboah working hard to break into Wolfsburg first team

Ghanian winger John Yeboah is working hard hoping to break into the first team of German Bundesliga side Wolfsburg following his successful loan spell in Holland. 

The 20-year-old, who was born in Germany to Germany to Ghanaian and Ecuadorian parents, enjoyed impressed in the Dutch top-flight for VVV Venlo. He scored 10 goals in 25 appearances across all competitions.

His impressive performance prompted Wolfsburg to recall him to start preparing for next season.

But with preparations yet to begin, Yeboah has started his private training.

"I just want to be in good shape when the preparations begin at VfL," said the U20 international.

"I just want to come back stronger."

In the short videos on Instagram, Yeboah lifts weights or lets his trainer throw a heavy, large ball at a single muscle area from a short distance with complete body tension.

Doesn't that hurt? "No, no - all is well," he says with a grin.

He wants to increase his physical area, "and I want to get faster," says Yeboah. "It is not now that I am only in the gym, I am also outside and work with the ball." 

He does everything "to get a chance at VfL. That is my goal and also my dream. I want to play for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga. If that works, it would be great."

Yeboah has featured for youth teams of Germany but could still represent Ghana.
