Afriyie Acquah has been targeted by Arsenal for summer transfer window

Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger is hot on the trail of Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah who plays in the Italian top-flight.

The 22-year-old has been impressing during his loan spell at Parma from his parent club Hoffenheim where he has appeared in 23 Serie A matches.

According to The Sun newspaper, the Gunners are watching the Ghanaian defensive midfielder as they prepare their list of summer transfer targets.

Acquah is also fighting to be in Ghana's squad for the World Cup in June.

    Some of us who truly understands a soccer player spoke openly about this guy since he featured for Ghana in the match vs. Malawi and scored the only goal of the game. However, it's long overdue for to be an inter heal part of the national team. The doors are now open for him and I hope chance would be given him.
