Ghanaian midfielder Albert Bruce is eyeing regular football after producing an inspired debut for Valletta in their 1-0 win at Sliema Wanderers over the weekend.

The 21-year-old had a telling impact despite spending only 15 minutes on the pitch for his new side.

Valletta scored the winning goal on the 89th minute when from a fast counter-attack, substitute Albert Bruce crossed to Roderick Briffa who headed to Federico Falcone who was there at the right place at the right time to beat Elezaj with a low shot in the corner.

The former Kotoko midfielder has been hailed for his influential impact on his debut for the Citizens and the Ghanaian is thrilled with his work ethics.

“It was a wonderful win and I’m happy I started on a positive note, ”he told GHANAsoccernet.com

“I didn’t expect to play but I’m glad the coach gave me the opportunity. I’m looking forward to playing more games for the side.

“This is one of the biggest clubs in Malta and hopefully, we can achieve our ultimate goal of winning the title this season.”

Bruce joined the Citizens last Thursday as a free agent having played for Qormi United and Naxxar Lions.
