Chievo Verona midfielder Isaac Cofie has backed Richmond Boakye Yiadom to make the final 23-man squad for next yearââ¬â¢s Africa Cup of Nations.
The 19-year-old is part of Ghanaââ¬â¢s provisional 26-man squad for the continental showpiece after an exciting start to the season at Italian seria B side Sassuolo.
He notched his eight goal of the season for the side as they won 3-1 at Paldova over the weekend.
Coffie, 21, is confident his compatriot will make the final cut and go ahead to shine in South Africa.
ââ¬ÅI am very happy for him. Heââ¬â¢s worked so had and deserve to be in the team,â⬠Coffie said
ââ¬ÅThere are no doubts in my mind that he will be part of the final 23-man squad and play an important role in the team.
ââ¬ÅHe is only 19-years and I believe the sky will be the limit for him.ââ¬
The on-loan Juventus striker scored his first goal for Ghana in his debut appearance during the Black Stars 1-1 draw against China in an international friendly in August this year.
