Accra Hearts of Oak could make a suprise move to sign former Lierse SK midfielder Cofie Bekoe after the talented midfielder failed to secure a move abroad before the closure of the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old who came close to joining Hearts four seasons ago is training in Accra with a select side.

Bekoe is unattached after ending his contract with Libyan side Ittihad Tripoli in 2013 and is back home to relaunch his career.

However, he has not officially started training with any club in Ghana but GHANAsoccernet.com understands Hearts could approach the former Tema Youth midfielder over a possible move.

The Phobians are keen to add quality to their squad and head coach Herbert Addo has been testing a couple of players to see if they could fit into his plans.

"He [Cofie] is a massively talented player and he deserves to be in the national team," Bechem United bankroller Nana Agye-Ampofo raved about the qualities of the midfielder.
