Ghanaian midfielder Ema Boateng scored the consolation goal for Helsingborg IF who succumbed to a 2-1 home loss against Kalmar in the Swedish top-flight league on Friday evening.

Boateng, 21, netted in the 48th minute to put the host into the lead at the Olympia but the visitors levelled through Tobias Eriksson three minutes later before 18-year-old sensation Filip Sachpekidis won it for the visitors.

Boateng is a former Right to Dream Academy graduate and is on his third season at Helsingborg.

The strike marks his third goal in 14 games for the season. He is hoping to improve his scoring rate in the league as he has been regarded as replacement for David Accam at Helsingborg.
