Ghanaian youth midfielder Eric Ocansey was sent off while in action for AS Eupen in the opening week of the Pro League on Saturday.

The 18-year-old midfielder was booked in the 61st minute for a bad challenge on a Zulte-Waregem midfielder.

Four minutes the former Aspire Academy player was sent off after getting involved in another controversial foul.

Eupen went ahead to lose the tie 3-0 on their maiden top-flight game of the new season.

Ocansey played an influential role in Eupen's promotion to the Pro League but the sending off on his debut comes as bad news for the youngster.

He is the third of three brothers who are all high-profile names in Ghanaian football.
