Ghanaian midfielder Michael Helegbe has cancelled his contract with Lebanese giants Tripoli Athletic Club over unpaid monies owed the talented player.

The former Kotoko, who was the Asian country's league top scorer, ace abrogated his contract on Thursday night citing several broken promises over his wages and bonuses.

Helegbe, who finished as the top scorer for the last term, was clearly fed up over the broken promises which resulted in the decision to cancel his contract.

Helegbe scored 21 goals in the league last season and has already attracted interest from several clubs including Lebanese champions Safa.

lub last season ended his contract due to the Club’s failure to meet his demands.

He played for Liberty Professionals, Kotoko and Medeama before moving to Lebanon.
