Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie was left thrilled with Carpi’s 2-1 win at 10-man Genoa in the Italian top-flight on Sunday.

Cofie, 24, played throttle for the visitors as they managed the important win at the Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris in Genova.

The Ghanaian, who is on loan from Genoa, hailed his teammates for the vital win.

"We are very happy today because we managed to grind out a win. We are humbled by the feat,’ he said

“We sacrificed so much. We have been patient; we knew that Genoa, with a man down was going to be tough. But we believed until the end and we managed to achieve a positive result.

“The whole group was decisive. We fought very hard and we helped each other, so it’s victory we savour.”
