South African side AmaZulu have confirmed that their Ghanaian midfielder John Arwuah has returned from the pre-season break to prepare for next season with the team.

The Ghanaian is one of the players that have been linked with the Durban club’s exit door, following their relegation from the PSL at the end of last season.

The Siya crew understand that there has is a clause in the player’s contract that he would be allowed to leave the club, if they were to campaign in the NFD.

But with the new developments for Usuthu, after they bought the PSL status of Mpumalanga Black Aces, the experienced midfielder is expected to stay with AmaZulu for the upcoming season.

“AmaZulu and Ghana international John Arwuah has arrived safely in Durban and will be looking at getting back to training next week.

“The 29-year-old, who had 19 starts for Usuthu last season, said he is happy to be back and he looks forward to see what the future holds for him.

“Although there has been rumors linking him to certain clubs, he insisted that he is still part of the AmaZulu family,” AmaZulu revealed on the club’s official website.

Arwuah says he is happy to be back with the team.

“A lot had been said, but I treat those as rumors. I am happy to be back, there is nothing much I can say about my future besides that I am still contracted to the club.

“We are resuming training next week and that is when we will see how things go. I have had a chat to the coach about my ambitions and I guess only time will tell,” Arwuah told amazulufc.net.
