Portland Timbers midfielder Kalif Alhassan sat on the sideline and watched the side practiceà Tuesdayà with an injury.
The 23-year-old tweaked his knee during Saturdayââ¬â¢s 1-1 draw against Union Settle.
Timbers coach Caleb Porter would not elaborate on the specific details of Alhassanââ¬â¢s injury, but said that the Timbers would continue to monitor him this week to determine whether he can play against the Chicago Fireà on Sunday.
ââ¬ÅWith Kalif, he had a little niggle at the end of the game, so weââ¬â¢re just being smart with him as well,â⬠Porter said.
ââ¬ÅFor right now, weââ¬â¢re not sure where those guys are at for the game this weekend.ââ¬
