Ghanaian midfielder Kwadwo Poku is getting some fan-love at New York City FC following his spectacular display in the MLS on Friday.

The 23-year-old was on top of the game as he inspired Jason Kreis' side with a dazzling assist before scoring his second goal of the season with a trademark finish in the 88th minute.

NYCFC had gone down by a goal to the Eastern Conference leaders but Poku set up Thomas McNamara to level the scoring before Italy legend Andrea Pirlo set up Spanish international David Villa to put the host in the lead.

Poku then went ahead to seal the victory for the home side and move them further up the table.

He became a toast of the fans after the game and New Yorkers who watched the game are still sharing selfies with the young midfielder over 24 hours after the game.
