On-loan Kotoko midfielder Michael Akuffu impressed in his debut for Lebanese league leaders Al-Ansar in their 4-1 win over Tripoli on Friday.

Akuffu, 29, was thrown into the hat by coach Abood Al-Khodhari as they romped to the heavy win at Al Ahed Stadium in Beirut.

The Ghanaian enforcer, who joined the side on a season-long loan from Kotoko, has quickly adapted to life since joining this week.

He is expected to play a key role for the Green Glory as they chase the Premier League crown this season.
