Ghanaian midfielder Mumuni Abubakar is facing an uncertain spell at Mamelodi Sundowns as he has been told he is not part of the plans of the first team.

The 20-year-old returned to the club for pre-season having completed his loan spell at South African lower tier club Black Leopards.

Mumuni has however been training alone – away from the first team – in an apparent move to ship him off once more again.

All signals suggests the ex New Edubiase playmaker is no longer needed at the club.

Sundowns have however fell short of declaring him surplus to requirements but are subtly inviting offers for the Ghanaian.

A club source revealed: “Mumuni is training with the other guys that are seemingly not in the team’s plans. They are training separately away from the first team.”

Abubakar alongside striker Emmanuel Baffour joined Sundowns from New Edubiase in 2012.

Baffour was however released a year after with Abubakar heading out on loan.
