Ghanaian midfielder Mumuni Abubakar has been linked with Premier Soccer League side Polokwane City a move which could see him re-unite with former Kostadin Papic.
The 20-year-old has not been registered by the Chloorkop-based side for the 2014/2015 season.
According to sources close to Sundowns, Abubakar’s close relationship with Papic could facilitate his move.
Papic recruited Abubakar to Black Leopards when the Serbian was in charge of the Limpopo side.
The 20-year-old spent the 2013/14 season on loan at Leopards and made meaningful progress in his career, while playing under Papic at Lidoda Duvha.
