Motherwell captain Keith Lasley has hailed Patrick Thistle capture of Ghanaian midfielder Prince Buaben during the January transfer window.

Buaben, 25, played his second game in the Thistle colours against Lasley's Motherwell on Saturday, a game the Archies lost 4-3 to Motherwell.

Thistle are struggling to pop out of the drop zone in the Scottish Premier League table and Lasley believes the former Ajax Amsterdam player has what it takes to save Thistle's season.

"Prince Buaben for me is a great signing and will give them an extra dimension in midfield," he said.

Buaben, who joined from Patrick Thistle from Carlisle, has consideration experience from the Scottish top-flight after spending three seasons at Dundee United.
