Ghanaian midfielder Shadrach Eghan says joining Go Ahead Eagles is a step up for his career.

The Dutch to-flight side confirmed the signing of the hugely talented Ghanaian on a two-year deal on Friday.

And the 22-year-old, who joins from Danish side Vendsyssel FF, says joining the Dutch Eredivisie side is a step up.

"I have a huge sense to follow my career," said the Ghanaian youth international with a big smile on his face.

"Yes, I had other options, but the story of Go Ahead Eagles really appealed to me.

"Moreover, I know of all the necessary people. That makes the move easier. "
