Highly-rated Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has been included in Atletico Madrid’s UEFA Champions League squad.

The Ghanaian youngster has been named in a 25-man party released by coach Diego Simione.

The 21-year-old has been handed a massive vote of confidence after being named in the squad to compete in Europe’s elite inter club competition.

The inclusion of the former Mallorca and Almeria loanee brings to five the number of Ghanaian players expected to play in the champions League this season.

Patrick Twumasi (Astana), Enoch Adu Kofi (Malmo FF), Nana Kwesi Asare (Gent) and Abdul Baba Rahman (Chelsea) have all been named in the squad by their respective clubs.
