Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey is not sure of his stay at Atletico Madrid for the upcoming Spanish La Liga season despite excelling at pre-season.

The 22-year-old has remained with Diego Simeone's side for the pre-season despite media reports linking him with another loan move from the former La Liga champions.

Partey has featured prominently in Simeone's pre-season campaign raising hopes he would remain at the Estadio Vicente Calderón for the 2015/16 season.

Media reports have linked the former Tema Youth midfielder with yet another loan move away from Atleti with Getafe mentioned to be interested in adding him to Black Stars midfielder Bernard Mensah who also joined from Atletico Madrid as a loanee.

But Partey explains to GHANAsoccernet.com he is not sure about remaining with the club's first team squad despite excelling on pre-season.

"The pre-season has gone well for me as I've played in games but I don't know whether I will stay here for the upcoming season," he said.

Partey scored four La Liga goals in 31 appearances for relegated Almeria last season and also flourished with Real Mallorca in the Segunda Division two seasons ago.
