A star-studded Ghanaian team of actors beat their Nigerian counterparts 3-1 in friendly match played in Kumasi last week.

The Ghanaian team made up of movie stars such as; Van Vicker, Bill Asamoah, Kwadwo Nkansah ‘Lil Wyn’, Akrobeto and Prince David Osei proved too strong for their Nigerian opponents who had the likes of Shegun Arinze, Victor ‘Awilo Sharp Sharp’ Usuagwu, Mama Ajasco and Dave Sam in their ranks.

The game according to organizers – Koba Consult and Marbizila – will be held annually to thrill movie fans of both countries despite the setbacks experienced in the first edition to mark Ghana’s 57th Independence anniversary.

“It’s been an eye opener. It was difficult pulling all these stars together,” Chief Executive officer of Koba Consult and Marbizila Swanzy Essuman said after the game.

“Some had to abandon their sets to join in the event.

“We have accepted all the anomalies that surfaced along the line and we are hoping to improve in subsequent editions. We have purposed to do this annually.”
