Ghanaian youngster Nikolas Nartey is set to return to VfB Stuttgart following the expiration of his season-long loan deal with Hansa Rostock.

The Danish-born midfielder player joined the German third-tier side from Bundesliga II club at the start of the season.

The 20-year-old gave a positive account of himself however it wasn’t enough as Hansa Rostock failed to achieve their main target of securing promotion to the second-tier.

They finished 6th on the table, three points behind the qualification mark.

Nartey made a total of 20 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal and assisting four.

There are however reports Hansa Rostock will like to keep him as they look to rebuild for next campaign.
