How Ghanaian players fared abroad: Jo Ayew, Banahene and Yabo on target, Jonathan Mensah makes injury in France

Black Stars attacker Jordan Ayew grabbed his sixth French Ligue 1 goal on Saturday while Emmanuel Banahene and Reinhold Yabo were also on target in Saudi Arabia and Germany respectively.

Jordan Ayew scored his sixth goal of the season in Lorient's 2-1 home loss against Nantes on Saturday.

Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah returned to the Evian TG squad for their 3-0 away loss against Saint-Étienne. However, he was unused by Evian.

Kwame Nsor is still out injured and missed Metz's 1-0 loss against Monaco on Sunday.

Dennis Appiah played full throttle in defence for Caen who shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Bastia.

Olympique Marseille re-established a two-point lead at the top of the table after beating Lille 2-1 on Sunday night. Ghana star winger Andre Ayew played the entire game for Marseille.

In the Ligue de National, former Ghana U17 attacker Charles Boateng was in action for Avranches when they held Fréjus St-Raphaël to a 2-2.

Strasbourg managed to hold Amiens SC to a 1-1 draw at their own backyard. Former FC Sion midfielder Ben Amofa came off the bench in the 58th minute to play for Strasbourg.

ITALY

Young defensive midfielder Godfred Donsah came off the bench in the second half to play Cagliari who slipped t0 a 3-1 loss against Juventus. Kwadwo Asamoah missed the Juventus squad to injury.

Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu was a full timer for Udinese who held Sampdoria to a 2-2 draw. While Badu was playing full time, Inter Milan loanee Alfred Duncan sat on the Inter bench.

Midfielder Afriyie Acquah was in full time action for Parma who slipped to yet another defeat after taking a 2-0 battering at Napoli.

On Saturday, a ten-man AC Milan side managed to hold AS Roma to a 0-0 draw. Sulley Muntari came off the bench to play for Milan but Michael Essien was unused by Milan.

Raman Chibsah sat on the bench for Sassuolo in their 0-0 stalemate with Cesena.

Isaac Cofie was a bench warmer for Chievo Verona who booked a 1-0 away win at Hellas Verona.

Atalanta and Palermo shared the spoils in a 3-3 draw on Sunday. Ghana forward Richmond Boakye-Yiadom played the first 45 minutes of the game for Atalanta while Swedish-born Ghanaian attacker Robin Quaison sat on the Palermo bench.

Ghana U20 prospect Isaac Donkor could not make the Inter Milan squad in their 2-2 draw with Lazio on Sunday.

In the Serie B, Genoa loanee Moro Al-Hassan sat on the Vicenza bench in their 1-0 loss against Spezia.

Moses Odjer played 77 minutes for Catania in their 2-2 draw with Brescia. Former Inter Milan Primavera player Isaac Ntow Tuah missed out of the Brescia squad due to injury.

Modena snatched a 2-1 win over Trapani. There was neither Amidu Salifu nor Maxwell Acosty in the Modena squad for the game.

Ransford Selasi was benched by Pescara when they managed a 2-2 draw against Perugia.

SPAIN

In the La Liga, Derek Boateng played full throttle for Eibar who lost 1-0 against Valencia.

Young midfielder Fatau Mohammed is injured and missed Rayo Vallecano's 3-1 home loss against Espanyol.

In the Segunda Division, Kassim Nuhu played in defence for Mallorca who lost 3-1 against Ponferradina.

Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah manned the post for Mirandes when they drew 1-1 with Real Zaragoza on Saturday.

In the Segunda B, Benjamin Akoto Asamoah played the entire 90 minutes for Atletico Madrid II who drew 1-1 with Leioa on Sunday.

Elche II were beaten 2-0 by Gimnàstic Tarragona FC. Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba played the first 45 minutes for Elche.

Clifford Aboagye played 74 minutes for Granada II who beat El Palo 1-0. Ibrahim Yeboah and Richard Boateng were not in the Granada squad for the game.

ENGLAND

In the Premier League versatile wing-half Jeffrey Schlupp was in full time action for Leicester City.

Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu did not get to play for Everton in their 3-0 loss at Southampton due to injury.

Youngster Hiram Boateng did not make the trip with Crystal Palace when they lost 3-0 at Manchester City.

In the English Championship, Blackburn Rovers posted a comprehensive 3-0 win over Charlton Athletic. Former Arsenal starlet Zak Ansah could not make the Charlton squad for the game.

Ghana-born Norwegian international Alexander Tettey played until the 62nd minute for Norwich City in their 2-2 drawn game with Derby County.

Albert Adomah was replaced in the first-half by Middlesbrough in their 2-0 away defeat at Ipswich Town.

Koby Arthur was axed from the Birmingham City team for their 1-0 away win at Huddersfield Town.

GERMANY

Defender Abdul Baba Rahman was in full time action for Augsburg in their Borussia M'gladbach.

Kevin-Prince Boateng watched from the stands as his Schalke 04 side drew goalless with Hamburg SV.

Reinhold Yabo scored in the 20th minute and played the entire game for Karlsruher SC in their 4-1 win over FSV Frankfurt.

In the Bundesliga II, Philemon Ofosu-Aryeh played the entire minutes for Aalen in their 3-1 loss against St Pauli on Sunday.

PORTUGAL

Talented youngster Bernard Mensah was in full time action for Vitória Guimarães when they slipped to a 1-0 loss against Estoril. Ghanaian-born Burkina Faso international Nii Adama Plange sat on the Vitória Guimarães bench.

Daniel Opare could not make the FC Porto squad for their 4-0 thrashing of Vitória Setúbal on Friday.

Former Mighty Jets defender Richard Ofori played in defence for Académica in their 1-1 draw with Penafiel.

SCOTLAND

Wakaso Mubarak was a bench warmer for Celtic in their 2-1 away reverse at Dundee United.

Meanwhile Abdul Osman played the entire game for Partick Thistle in their 1-1 draw with Dundee FC.

In the Championship, former Ajax Amsterdam youth team midfielder Prince Buaben played the entire 90 minutes and helped Hearts of Midlothian win 2-0 against Alloa Athletic.

NETHERLANDS

Attacker Elvis Manu came off the bench to play for Feyenoord in their 1-0 away win over NAC Breda. Dutch-born Ghanaian midfielder Jeffrey Sarpong played the entire 90 minutes of the game for Breda but Kingsley Boateng was unused.

Dordrecht and FC Groningen drew 1-1. Belgian-born Ghanaian Marvin Peersmann was in action for Dordrecht but Erixon Danso could not make their squad. Defender Johna Kappelhof played in lateral defence for Groningen.

FC Utrecht shocked themselves with a 3-0 away victory over AZ Alkmaar. There was no Rodney Antwi in their squad while Raymond Gyasi also failed to make the AZ squad for the game.

Vitesse Arnhem won 3-0 against Heracles. Edwin Gyasi could not make the Heracles squad for the game.

In the second-tier league, Jonathan Opoku played in the second-half for Oss in their 4-1 thrashing of FC Twente II. Mustapha Yahaya sat on the Twente bench.

Injured Marcel Appiah watched from the stands when his NEC side hammered MVV 4-1.

Ajax II posted a comfortable 3-1 win over De Graafschap. Kenny Tete and Elton Acolatse both played for Ajax.

TURKEY

Striker Abdul Majeed Waris came off the bench to play the last 31 minutes for Trabzonspor in their 3-3 draw with Bursaspor.

Jerry Akaminko watched from the stands when his Eski?ehirspor split points in a 1-1 draw with Karabükspor

Defender John Boye is still out with injury as he could not play for Kayseri Erciyesspor in their 1-0 home loss against Fenerbahçe.

Former Tema Youth and Ghana U20 defender Joseph Attamah played the entire minutes of the game for Adana Demirspor when they won 1-0 against Samsunspor.

BELGIUM

Lokeren suffered a 2-1 home loss against Kortrijk. Belgian-born Denis Odoi played the entire game but Eugene Ansah could not make the Lokeren squad.

Bennard Kumodzi missed Genk's 4-1 loss at Club Brugge due to injury.

Nana Akwasi Asare was sent off in the 92nd for Gent in their 2-1 loss against Standard Liege.

Mitch Apau played in lateral defense for Westerlo in their 1-1 draw with KV Mechelen. French-born Ghanaian defender Jerry Vandam could not make the Mechelen squad for the game.

Anderlecht posted a 2-0 win over Waasland-Beveren on Saturday. Defender David Addy played 64 minutes for Waasland-Beveren while Frank Acheampong played until the 72nd minute.

SAUDI ARABIA

Emmanuel Osei Banahene scored the consolation goal for Al Orubah in their 2-1 loss against Al Fateh on Saturday. Moussa Narry also played in the game for Orubah.

Former Hearts of Oak play maker Winful Cobbinah was not in the Al Najran squad when they lost 3-2 against Al Raed.

In other games, Al Shoalah held Al Faisaly to a 0-0 draw. Former Berekum Chelsea defender Ahmed Adams was not in the Shoalah team but Samuel Owusu played.
