More than five Ghanaian players are likely to be handed tough lives in this season's Uefa Champions League when the Group stage draw takes place in Monaco on Thursday.

Arsenal youngster Emmanuel Frimpong helped the English side record a 3-1 aggregate victory over Udinese who had two Ghanaians Emmanuel Agyemang Badu and Kwadwo Asamoah on Wednesday night at the Stadio Fruili.

Andre and Jordan Ayew are expected to pay active roles for French giant Olympique Marseille.

Ghana youth international Wakaso Mubarak's Villarreal could be handed tough life in Thursday draw.

AC Milan's Kevin-Prince Boateng will be available for a showdown.

Crocked Michael Essien, scheduled to return in December, will also find out which teams his Chelsea side will play.

Potential meetings with European giants like Barcelona, Manchester United, Chelsea AC Milan, Real Madrid and others is a real possibility for the Ghanaian players.

The top two in each group will go through to the knock-out phase of the competition and the third-place side will drop to the Europa League.
