Ghanaian quintet in tough UEFA Champions League draw

Five Ghanaian players have drawn tough oppositions in the round 16 draw of UEFA Champions League.

Michael Essien’s Real Madrid have drawn Manchester United with Juventus’ Kwadwaso Asamoah facing Scottish giants Celtic.

AC Milan duo Sulley Muntari, who was not registered for the Group stage due to injury, and Kevin-Prince Boateng will square off against Spanish powerhouse Barcelona.

Christian Atsu is expected to be available for FC Porto against Malaga.

The draw for the round of 16 was held in Nyon, Switzerland on Thursday and sees some giants squaring off against each other.

The mouth-watering encounter undoubtedly will be the clash involving Real Madrid and the Red Devils, with the first leg expected to take place in Spain.

The match will see Cristiano Ronaldo return to Old Trafford for the first time since his 80 million pound move from United to ea in June 2009.

Michael Essien will be in the thick of affairs when the two sides clash in arguably the toughest match in the knockout phase.

His compatriot Kwadwaso Asamoah will be part of the Juventus party that will travel to Scotland to face giants Celtic.

The Black Stars midfielder has by far been one of the exciting players in the Italian Serie A and will fancy his chances against Celtic at their own backyard.

Barcelona take AC Milan, while Shakhtar Donetsk travel to Germany to face Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal take on last year's beaten finalists Bayern Munich.

Valencia have been drawn against Paris Saint-Germain and Porto take on Malaga, while Galatasaray will play Schalke.
