Ghanaian referee E.R Biney has launched a stinging pot shot at Kotoko fans labeling them as ‘uncivilized’ following a horrific attack on him during a Premier League game.

The centre referee claims he was subjected to physical attack by some irate Kotoko fans following their 1-0 home defeat to Heart of Lions on Wednesday.

He cited team manager Godwin Ablordey and chief supporter Ali Maradona as the primary instigators of the assault on him.

Biney has vowed never to officiate in any Kotoko matches, labeling the supporters as ‘uncivilized.

“It’s unfortunate but we’re in the 21st century. You don’t treat your fellow human being like that,” he fumed

“Even if you think I did something wrong, there are channels that you can follow to address yur grievances.”

“This level of incivility must stop because to the honest with you what they (fans) did was really uncivilized.

“I have said I will never officiate any match involving Kotoko and I stand by that.

“They said Lions cheated them in Kpando and so they must win at all cost in Kumasi.

“But football does not work that way. You have to work hard to earn the points. I awarded what I think was a perfect penalty and so that is enough grounds to attempt to kill me?

“I don’t think is fair and I won’t buy that.”

The Ghana FA is expected to come down heavy on the Porcupine Warriors who have already served home ban after a similar incident.
