Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey will be serving as the fourth official in one of the opening group games at the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup.

The professional immigration officer will be the reserve substitute for Japanese Sato Ryuji between Uruguay and Serbia on Sunday.

Lamptey has been named as one of the officials for the U20 World Cup having passed a fitness test earlier this year.

He is certain to be appointed a center referee in subsequent games of the tournament being staged in New Zealand.

Ryuji will be assisted on the lines for the game between Uruguay and Serbia by compatriots Yagi Akane and Yamauchi Hisoshi.
