Asokwa Deportivo claim they have received trial invitations from French clubs Stade Rennes and Bastia for their sensational striker Joel Fameyeh.

Fameyeh, 17, is highly rated in Ghana after he bagged in an astonishing 28 goals and provided 13 assists for the Ghanaian second-tier side in their league campaign last season.

The young striker has been tipped with a move to local giants Asante Kotoko but club officials are claiming he’s been offered a trial session by two French clubs.

“At the moment, we have not sold Fameyeh to any club. Yes, there are some clubs who have negotiated with us at length but that’s where it remains. We have not released him to any club,’ Asokwa Deportivo CEO Amidu Camarat claimed.

‘About three European clubs have expressed interests. There is Bastia, Stade Rennes both from France who have sent in their invitations for trials.

‘There is also one Belgian club who want the boy on an initial six-month loan deal.’

Fameyeh featured for the Local Black Stars which failed to qualify for the 2016 CHAN tournament.
