Ghanaian youngster Thomas Agyiri has signed for Manchester City from the Right to Dream Academy, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 18-year-old was however immediately loaned out to Portuguese top flight club Gil Vicente after signing a two-year contract with the English Champions.

The loan move is to ensure Agyiri sees regular first team action in line with a program to aid his development into a full blown professional.

Agyiri becomes the 11th Right to Dream Academy player to earn an European move in recent years - following the likes of Abdul Majeed Waris, Mohammed Abu and Razak Nuhu.

He was part of the Manchester City team that played at a Junior International Tournament in the UAE earlier this year.
