Thomas Agyiri being awarded after one of the games for City's junior side
By Ameenu Shardow
Ghanaian youngster Thomas Agyiri has signed for Manchester City from the Right to Dream Academy, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 18-year-old was however immediately loaned out to Portuguese top flight club Gil Vicente after signing a two-year contract with the English Champions.
The loan move is to ensure Agyiri sees regular first team action in line with a program to aid his development into a full blown professional.
Agyiri becomes the 11th Right to Dream Academy player to earn an European move in recent years – following the likes of Abdul Majeed Waris, Mohammed Abu and Razak Nuhu.
He was part of the Manchester City team that played at a Junior International Tournament in the UAE earlier this year.
