Ghanaian youth midfielder Bernard Tekpetey made his debut for German giants Schalke 04 on Saturday by playing for their reserves side in a 2-2 draw with Borussia Monchengladbach.
Schalke II manager Jurgen Luginger named the 19-year-old in his midfield and he impressed for the 83 minutes he lasted on the pitch.
The Royal Blues battled to earn a point from the game with the former Unistar Academy player playing a crucial role.
Schalke landed the talented midfielder with a decent deal from Ghanaian academy side Unistar Soccer Academy and he showed great prospect on his debut for the club.
Tekpetey will be following in the footsteps of German-Ghanaian attacker Gerald Asamoah who is a cult figure at the club.
