Ghanaian youth forward Caleb Ekuban was named among the Chievo Verona substitutes when they shocked Lazio 1-0 in the Italian Serie A on Saturday.

The 18-year-old watched the entire action from the Chievo bench as they did the unthinkable by beating Lazio 1-0 at their favourite Stadio Olimpico.

Caleb, who is in the mode of Mario Balotelli, has been a revelation in the Italian Primavera for Chievo with his imposing physical presence and consistent scoring form.

Chievo boss Eugenio Corini handed Caleb a place in his squad for the trip but did not give him his first Serie A action as he warmed the bench.

Compatriot Isaac Cofie played full throttle for Chievo in the game.
