Dutch-born Ghana youth international Raymond Gyasi has expressed delight at his return to AZ Alkmaar following the end of his loan with Roda JC Kerkrade.

The 21-year-old, who is capped once by Ghana's U23 squad, spent the second-half of last season on loan in the Dutch second-tier league with Roda JC, helping them to secure promotion to the Eredivisie.

Gyasi scored once in 13 appearances for Roda JC in their promotion campaign.

"Had a good time on loan at RODA JC. Great team, the fans were great and we worked hard for promotion to the [Eredivisie]. Tomorrow Is the first training of the season. Good to be back at AZ ALKMAAR," he posted on his official Facebook page.

He spent the season at Roda with his elder brother Edwin Gyasi who is still under contract at the club and is set to play in the Dutch top-flight.

Gyasi will rejoin Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Derrick Luckassen who burst onto the Eredivisie last season with his sterling performance for AZ Alkmaar.
