English-born Ghanaian youth forward Joe Dodoo was rewarded with a Premier League debut by renowned Italian gaffer Claudio Ranieri as he featured him in Leicester City's 1-1 draw at Bournemouth on Saturday.

The 19-year-old Leicester City Academy graduate earned the feat following his hat-trick heroics for the Foxes in their Capital One Cup triumph in midweek.

Dodoo stepped out of the dug-out in the 71st minute at the Vitality Stadium to replace Marc Albrighton as Leicester fought back to earn a point from the game and maintain their unbeaten run from the start of the season.

English attacker Callum Wilson scored from a bicycle kick to open the scoring for Bournemouth after Max Gradel's deflected header fell kindly.

But Vardy levelled after being fouled in the box with four minutes to play.

Dodoo was born to Ghanaian parents in England and has played through the youth ranks at Leicester City and bagged over 10 goals for the U21 side last season.
