Ghana striker Samuel Afum scored to help propel Young Boys to triumph in the Swiss Flash-up mini tournament on Friday.

The 24-year-old scored the second goal to cushion the lead for Young Boys as they beat second-tier side FC Biel 2-0 before converting from the spot in the final game against FC Thun to help his side win 3-2 on penalties.

After enjoying an inconsistent action last season due to injury problems, the former Hearts of Oak attacker was in fine shape showing brilliant attacking qualities.

The Swiss Super League gets underway in a fortnight's time and he is expected to play a crucial role for Young Boys who have secured Europa League football for the upcoming season.
