Accam scored on Monday night in front of Manchester United scouts

Helsingborgs winger David Accam was aware that Manchester United were looking at him last night and he did not disappoint after scoring in front of the Reds' scouts.

The Ghana international winger, 23, scored his 11th goal of the season in Helsingborgs' 2-1 Swedish league defeat to AIK on Monday with the spy from Old Trafford watching him.

With Old Trafford looking to bolster their squad from next season Accam could be a good option for them in the wake of Ryan Giggs departure as a player on the wings.

Before the game, Accam was told about the United interest which has intensified after he scored a stunning solo goal against Swedish champions Malmo on Thursday, out-sprinting three defenders and coolly slotting home the winner late in the game.

Arsenal and Everton have also made checks on Accam, who started out at the Right to Dream academy in Ghana and has a contract with Helsingborgs until 2016.

Former Manchester United scout for Africa and Right to Dream academy director, Tom Vernon, thinks Accam should go to the World Cup with the Black Stars.
