Ghanaian youngster Dennis Antwi hit the back of the net for Jerv who missed a unique chance to make history by qualifying to the Norwegian top flight with a 3-1 defeat to Start on Wednesday night.

Antwi struck on the stroke of halftime to pull his side even having gone 1-0 down three minutes earlier an Andreas Hollingen goal.

Jerv couldn’t hold onto that scoreline as they fell behind again four minutes into the restart with Espen Borufosen scoring for the hosts.

Alex de John then stuck the final nail in Jerv’s coffin with an 83rd minute strike to give Start a 3-1 win and qualification into the Norwegian top flight.

Dennis Antwi only joined Jerv for the second half of the season but managed to score four goals in 13 league matches.

This was the first time Jerv had come thus far towards qualifying to the Norwegian top flight.
