Ghanaian striker Derek Asamoah delighted with Carlisle United resurgence in English lower tie

Ghanaian striker Derek Asamoah has hailed the resurgence of Carlisle United in the English League two this season.

United have bagged two wins from their last two games and look like a team on form.

The 34-year-old scored twice for the Cumbrians in their 3-2 win over Barnet last weekend and the former Daegu FC attacker has been left impressed with his team’s displays so far.

“I’m enjoying what the manager’s trying to do. There are goals in this team, we’ve got some intelligent players,” he said.

“It’s a massive boost for the lads, a second win on the bounce. It’s unfortunate we conceded two goals and we need to work on that but on the whole, three points, we can’t ask for more than that. Everyone’s happy.”
