Ghanaian-born former Dutch youth striker Fred Benson has revealed he went through a 'bad' experience during his stint with Polish sideà Lechia Gda?sk two seasons ago.Ã
The 29-year-old is eyeing a move away from Dutch side PEC Zwolle after falling down the pecking order but has sharply ruled out a return to the Polishà Ekstraklasa.
Though he revealed he went through torrid times in Poland, he insists he would consider a move to Russia racist concerns.
ââ¬ÅI do not want to compare all countries with Poland. I had a bad experience there, but that does not mean that Russia is the same. If a club from Russia comes, I am willing to listen to them,â⬠Benson told Soccernews.
ââ¬ÅMy current contract is ending and negotiations were suspended in November and I do not know if it will resume. But I do not care.ââ¬
Benson is out of favour at Zwolle and quickly wants to change clubs to earn regular playing time.
He has scored a total of 78 league goals in 241 appearances since the 2005/06 season when he marked his debut for Vitesse Arnhem.
