Ghanaian striker John Antwi has threatened not to return to his Egyptian club Ismaily over unpaid salaries worth $40,000 according to reports.

The 21-year-old has been on holidays in Ghana for over six weeks and is reluctant to return according to Footy Ghana.

Antwi has been in good form for Ismaily this term – scoring 20 goals from 39 games.

His impressive display has alerted interests from other clubs of his potential.

He is however said to be unhappy at Ismaily over delayed payment of his salary which has now accumulated to $40,000.

Officials of Ismaily are desperate to have their striker back and have quickly issued a payment of $10,000 to the player.

The striker is however still reluctant to return to the Egyptian club until all monies owed him are paid.

Tunisian side Club Africain are said to be interested in signing the former Dreams FC player.
