Ghanaian strikerà à John Antwi is expected to be out for three weeks after suffering to an ankle sprain during Al Ahly's 1-0 triumph over Espérance in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday evening.Ã
The 22-year-old had netted the only goal of the game for the Cairo giants with a 6th minute close range finish but was forced out of the game in the 73rd minute.
The initial diagnosis of the injury is reported to be a sprain in Antwiââ¬â¢s ankle ligaments after awkwardly spinning his leg trying to stop while running.
Antwi came off in the 73rd minute after an impressive performance, in which he scored the matchââ¬â¢s only goal and earned three valuable points for his team in Rades.
Antwi has gotten off to an excellent start at Al Ahly, scoring 5 goals in his 4 games so far.
The striker is set for an MRI following the teamââ¬â¢s return to Cairo for further assurance on his injury.
