Ghanaian international forward Kwame Amponsah-Karikari has rued missing the opportunity to play against Manchester United in a pre-season friendly.

The Swedish Allsvenskan side host the English giants in Stockholm on August 6 in a highly anticipated pre-season friendly and the promising striker will miss the game.

Karikari has left the Swedish side to join Turkish second-tier side Bal?kesirspor after failing to secure regular playing time at the Friends Arena.

Though the 2011 Ghana U20 attacker wants to focus on his new challenge in Turkey he feels missing the United friendly is great opportunity lost.

"Its always a fine moment to think or talk about United because they are a great side and having against them would have been great. Its sad but I'm okay," he told Ghanasoccernet.com.

Karikari scored on his debut for Bal?kesirspor in their 3-2 defeat to Bursaspor in a pre-season friendly last week.
