Ghanaian international striker Patrick Twumasi struck in the second-half to keep FC Astana's hopes of winning the Kazakhstan Cup as they drew 1-1 with Aktobe on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old netted in the 68th minute to level the scoring for Astana after Brazilian Anderson Santana dos Santos had scored first to put the visitors ahead in the first-half.

Twumasi, a former Red Bulls academy graduate, has now netted 13 times in all competitions for Astana this season including the Uefa Champions League.

However he is banned from playing in the competition after a FIFA ruling.
