Ghanaian striker Samuel Afum struck the opener to propel Wadi Degla to a deserving 1-0 win over Al Nasr Taa'den in the Egyptian top-flight league on Monday.

The 25-year-old rose up to the occasion to hit the back of the net in the 93rd minute at the Cairo International Stadium.

Afum, a former Hearts of Oak striker, is rediscovering his scoring form after a disappointing spell in the Swiss Super League with Young Boys Bern.

The former Ghana U23 attacker netted for Degla in their weekend stalemate at El Geish.
