Ghanaian Team beats Kenyans to bag 12,000 dollars in The Guinness Football Challenge

Published on: 24 May 2013

Francis Ngigi and Kepha Kimani didn't get Guinness Money. Sad huh? They however managed to make it to the next step of the challenge, inspite of fierce competition from Ghana who are now the biggest money winners.

The other Kenyan team which had Kenneth Kamau and Willis Ogutu, didn’t make it to the final stages of the episode. Jonathan Nabb and Desmond Odaano, went on to hit target four on the Guinness Money Wall.

That means they bagged over $12,000, to add to their $8,500 from previous rounds! Kaching!

Jonathan and Desmond were also awarded $4,000 in recognition of the amazing effort they put in through the first two rounds. They have now secured a spot in the first Pan-African Final, and are in with a chance of raising their country’s flag as champions.

Arianne Okong’o, East African Breweries Marketing Manager (Guinness & Partner Brands) said: “All of our footballing pairs did incredibly well to get to our first ever Semi-Final and congratulations to Francis and Kephafor bagging a spot in the final. They really showed that they have what it takes to be real players in life and not to just sit on the side lines.  We are now looking forward to cheering on our final two remaining teams who will be flying the flag for Kenya and East Africa in the next Semi-Final.”
