Ghanaian trio Yaw Frimpong, Solomon Asante and Gladson Awako were pivotal in TP Mazembe’s progress in the CAF Champions League qualifiers.

The DR Congo giants recorded a 3-0 win over Atres Douala of Cameroon to advance 4-1 aggregate on Sunday.

Right-back Frimpong set up Salif Coulibaly to open the scoring in the first half  Â and winger Asante also made a goal for Jonas Sakuwaha to score the third goal.

Midfielder Awako was the only player to play the entire game while left-back  Richard Kissi Boateng was an unused Substitute.

TP Mazembe will now face Ivorian side Sewe Sports, who eliminated Asante Kotoko’s conquerors Barrack Young Controllers in the round 16 stage.
