Ghanaian talented striker Joe Dodoo could make his debut in the English Premier League on Saturday after being promoted to the Leicester City senior team following his heroics in midweek.

The 20-year-old has been promoted to the senior team as they prepare for their Barclays Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Saturday thanks to hat-trick in the Capital One Cup Second Round win at Bury on Tuesday.

Claudio Ranieri paraded £16million-worth of new signings in the match against Bury but they were upstaged by an academy graduate as Joe Dodoo celebrated his debut with a stunning hat-trick at Gigg Lane.

Dodoo, a 20-year-old winger of Ghanaian descent, has only just started training with Leicester's first-team squad as reward for his performances for the youth team, and he announced his arrival on the big stage in spectacular fashion in the 25th minute.

The ball came to Dodoo at pace but his first touch brought it under control, the next lifted it over defender Peter Clarke, and he despatched a dipping volley over goalkeeper Christian Walton and in off the underside of the bar.

His performance against Bury forced Ranieri to name him in the travelling for the match against Bournemouth.

This means the Ghanaian is likely to be named in the team to play the match on Saturday - most likely against Ghana's Christian Atsu.

Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri says he is happy with the extensive player options in his squad as he prepares his men for their Barclays Premier League trip to Bournemouth on Saturday.

The City boss has fielded a balanced blend of players in the Foxes’ opening four fixtures of the 2015/16 campaign.

Ranieri has stuck with the same starting XI for his side’s first three Premier League games before making 11 changes for the Capital One Cup Second Round win at Bury on Tuesday.
