Danish-born Ghanaian winger Danny Amankwaa is close to full recovery from a long-term injury lay-off as he has resumed training.

The 21-year-old Danish U21 international suffered a horrific achilles tendon injury and was ruled out of playing football since May but has returned to active training for the first time in 5 months, 9 days.

Amankwaa, born to Ghanaian parents in Denmark, will now join Ghana international defender Daniel Amartey after the international break at Copenhagen's first-team training sessions after the international breaks.

Copenhagen manager Ståle Solbakken will welcome the lightening-paced winger back into his squad for the first this season.

Amankwaa, who holds Danish passport has represented Denmark at U16, U17, U18, U19 and U20 levels and is in line for a senior Danish cap as there has been no official approach from the Ghana FA.
