Ghanaian youngster Joachim Adukor is calm over his future at Gefle IF

By Patrick Akoto

Ghanaian midfielder Joachim Adukor is not worried over his lack of first team action for Swedish side Gefle IF.

Adukor, 18, has been training as part of the Gefle IF first-team, but with the team struggling to get wins under their belts this campaign, experience has been the order of the day for coach Per Olsson.

But the former Emirates Sporting Club enforcer is calm over his future at the club.

“The club is always telling me they are happy with my performance,” Adukor told reporters.

“I am not worried at all about not playing, I am only 18 and haven’t played in Europe before.

“I am learning all the time and the coach is looking for more experienced players at the moment. However, they are clear that I am improving and that I have a big future at the club.

“The plan is to gradually ease into the team this season and then hopefully I can join up with the Ghana U20 side after the summer.”

david, masa how competitive is the swedish league, even his club gefle are last and he has not even played a game for them since joining them last season. he does not even deserve a place on the under 20 bench, there are young quality ghanaian players in the juventus, ac milan, inter and parma primavera in italy who shd be invited not this disrespectful boy called adukor, i know him in tema and ashaiman secondary school. very arrogant. ghana dont need him

  4. david asare says:

@ tawfiq, list all the great players in the world or even those from our own country and check back their soccer history where they started from..i think everybody deserve a chance to show what he or she has..and also tawfiq if u have any personal issues with adukor i dnt think that should not be the reason why u paste this comment…its a step

  5. Poku says:

@tawfiq I dunno what u talkin bout. How is it disrespectful? He is just answerin a question. It is good to see a young player listen to their coach and developing themself. You talkin rubbish.
