Ghanaian youngster Amartey makes progress with Swedish giants Djurgården

Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Amartey is progressing steadily at Djurgården after joining the the Swedish giants just last month.

Amartey, 18, moved to the Östermalm-based club from Ghanaian second-tier side Inter Allies and is already making grades.

His presence has forced Djurgården manager Magnus Pehrsson to shift former Asante Kotoko midfielder Yussif Chibsah to right-back.

Amartey played his first competitive game for the Allsvenkan side in mid-week as they shared the spoils in a 0-0 drawn game with Norrköping.

After failing to impress in last season's campaign, the Iron Stoves are hoping to put in a strong challenge for the league title in the 2013 season and Amartey is tipped to play a key role in their campaign.

He joins experienced midfielder Chibsah and Right to Dream Academy graduate, Godsway Donyoh who is at the club on loan from English giants Manchester City.
