Ghanaian youngster Amidu Salifu says he intends to return to Fiorentina to fight for a first team place after his loan stint at Perugia ends.

The 22-year-old has been loaned out to the Italian second tier club in what is his third consecutive loan stint away from Fiorentina.

Salifu has struggled to break into the first team since joining the Serie-A club in 2011.

The Ghanaian however remains defiant and is determined to return to Fiorentina and have a go once more again when his current loan stint at Perugia expires.

"I'm here to concentrate and do well in Perugia,” he said.

“Then at the end of year we will see. I hope to return to Fiorentina although I am not sure.

“Should this happen I would be happy."

Salifu spent last season on loan at Modena and also Catania the season before.
