Ghanaian youth midfielder Brian Amofa scored to rescue a point for Strasbourg in their 1-1 away stalemate with Orléans in the French Ligue de National on Friday night.

Strasbourg, a one time top club in the French Ligue 1, are now struggling to avoid relegation in the CFA - the fourth-tier of French football and needed positive results on Friday.

And, the 21-year-old Ghanaian attacking midfielder put them ahead in the 60th minute when he punctured the hosts defence with a measure of skill.

He dimmed two players inside the Orléans area before thrusting a darting drive at goal which beat the keeper with an ostentatious precision.

But Strasbourg could not shelter the lead as Orléans crawled back and broke their weakened safeguard to level the scoring after just 9 minutes of Amofa's opener.

Amofa signed a five-year-contract with Swiss side FC Sion in 2011 but could not make the grades at the club hence his move to seek regular playing time at Strasbourg.
